ZINWISE is the exclusive sales channel for nano zinc oxide in sunscreen skincare. Behind it sits Zhongshan Kailei — eighteen years of cosmetics manufacturing, one owner, one set of certifications. When you work with ZINWISE, you are working with that facility.
The structure, plainly
Three entities are involved in every order, and it is worth being precise about which one does what. They are not a chain of unrelated suppliers; two of them share an owner, and the third sits upstream with a patent portfolio.
ZINWISE and Zhongshan Kailei share the same owner. Kailei does not take orders for zinc oxide sunscreen products directly — enquiries of that kind are routed to ZINWISE. This is a deliberate arrangement, not an informal understanding.
Why this is not a new company
Eighteen years of manufacturing sits under this brand name.
ZINWISE as a legal entity is recent. The operation behind it is not. Zhongshan Kailei has been formulating and producing cosmetics for export since 2007, and the people who will handle your project are the people who built that record — the same formulation team, the same quality system, the same cleanroom.
That matters most in mineral sunscreen, where the difficulty is not the ingredient list but the behaviour of the dispersion inside your emulsion. A facility that has run hundreds of emulsions knows what happens when the filter loading climbs and the texture starts to fail. That judgement cannot be bought with new equipment.
The exclusive licence, and who holds it
Lanshi Zhongke granted exclusive rights to apply its nano zinc oxide in sunscreen skincare. The licence is held by Zhongshan Kailei as the manufacturing enterprise. ZINWISE is the sole sales channel for that product line.
In practice this means a brand cannot buy this material system into a sunscreen from another supplier, and cannot approach the factory to work around the sales company either — the factory's answer is to hand the enquiry to ZINWISE. Because both sit under one owner, that hand-off costs the client nothing: the same team, the same facility, the same certificates.

Upstream material technology
Lanshi Zhongke
Our material technology comes from Lanshi Zhongke Nanotechnology, a joint venture of Lanzhou LS Group — a state-owned enterprise established in 1953 — and the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, together with the patent-holding technical team.
They hold patented bubble liquid membrane process technology and have developed their own continuous reaction equipment, which allows nanomaterial to be produced continuously at ambient temperature and pressure. The particle is built through a controlled process rather than ground down from larger material — which is the difference that shows up later, at the dispersion stage.
Their first-phase 5,000-tonne production line came online in August 2025. The exclusive sunscreen-application licence for this material is held by Zhongshan Kailei; ZINWISE is the sole sales channel.

Manufacturing
Production runs at Zhongshan Kailei's GMPC-certified cleanroom in Guangdong — 3,886 m² of controlled space and eight production lines, supported by a formulation team of twelve. The facility has been manufacturing cosmetics for export since 2007, and holds certifications under SGS-issued certificates: ISO 22716:2007 cosmetics GMP (CN19/31476) and US FDA CFSAN cosmetic GMP (CN19/31477), both valid to September 2028, alongside FDA facility registration FEI 3015316073, China cosmetics production licence 粤妆20160335, and amfori BSCI monitoring ID 25-0314051-1.
We publish certificate numbers rather than scans so that buyers can verify them with the issuing body directly. Copies, and the licence agreement, are provided during commercial discussion under NDA.
How we work with brands
Every project starts with an NDA, because formulation briefs are commercially sensitive in both directions. After that the sequence is straightforward: a brief, development iterations at agreed checkpoints, physical samples for your own panel and third-party testing, then scale-up once the formula is settled.
We do not work with brands who want a catalogue product pulled off a shelf. What we offer is development against your market position — which requires more involvement from you and produces a product that fits.
